With summer now officially just around the corner, Love Island fans are in for a treat as the popular ITV2 dating show will once again be returning to our screens for the 11th series – and avid fans won’t have long to wait to catch the drama unfolding on screen. According to a show insider, the latest series is set to launch on 3 June, meaning it’s just under nine weeks until another batch of lovelorn contestants enter the villa in the hope of finding their perfect partner.
Traditionally, from the show’s third season onwards, it has always kicked off in the first week of June, with one notable exception being the 2021 series which began airing on 28 June, following a postponement due to the Covid-19 pandemic. All Stars replaced the previous Winter edition of the show following a decline in ratings and was won by Series 10 star Tom Clare and series six alumni Molly Smith.
So far, ITV has yet to confirm whether or not the All Stars edition will return for a second season next year, however many fans are hopeful that the show will be renewed after host Maya Jama received rave reviews from countless fans on social media.
