Starting in Trafalgar Square, a protest march heading through the capital has attracted thousands, including Siannise and Luke, who recorded the peaceful protest on their Instagram stories.
The march is in honour and solidarity of the wrongful killing of Floyd in Minneapolis, an unarmed black men who was arrested, pinned to the ground and died after a policeman kneeled on his neck for nine minutes, cutting off his airway.In the videos posted in both Siannise and Luke’s Instagram stories, the attendees were seen cheering Floyd’s name as well as repeating ‘Black Lives Matter’ in chants.
Dozens of celebrities have used their platform to join in either at the protests, or by donating money to those who have been arrested as a result of their involvement.
