Louisa Lytton finally married the love of her love Ben Bhanvra after having to cancel their wedding three times following on from their proposal in 2019.
When Ben, 31, first caught a glimpse of his beautiful bride walking down the aisle, he had tears in his eyes. Louisa too, as she fittingly walked down the aisle to an acoustic version of CeCe Peniston’s Finally with her dad, Alan. “I did not stop crying, because it had taken people so much to get there,” she says. “I was waiting by my phone from the Friday for people to tell me that they had landed. And then they were saying, ‘Our train has been cancelled, so now we’re on the coach.’ We couldn’t believe how much effort people made to get out there for our special day, so I cried a lot when I saw people that I wasn’t sure if they were going to make it or not. Obviously, I cried walking down the aisle with my dad.
Ben agrees, adding, “I was there 30 minutes before, and at that point, I’m wearing a three-piece suit in 39 degrees, and the nerves were just building and building. It didn’t even feel real.” Louisa says, “After having Aura, that was the best day of my life.” Later that morning, Louisa, her mum and her bridesmaids Robyn, Alex, Marianna, Cartier and Sophie had a drink by the pool before getting ready from midday. “One of my best friends Natasha Klipp flew over to do my hair and make-up. It was all us girls getting ready together and playing music.”
Louisa, meanwhile, tells us that writing her vows to Ben came naturally to her as she’s an “open person”. “He’s a teacher in Hong Kong,” Ben explains. “But because of the restrictions, I couldn’t see him for that whole time before the wedding. He planned the stag do he couldn’t attend, which is a weird thing!”
“I’d painted a picture in my head and it wasn’t as near as beautiful as when I saw her walk down the aisle,” he says. “I was just amazed at how incredible she looked. Everything was perfect. Her hair was amazing, her make-up was amazing, and the dress was incredible. I’ve never seen a dress like that ever.”
And speaking of her bouquet, she says, “I have no idea what flowers I had in my bouquet, but they were a dusty pink colour.”
