AMAZON Prime's prequel Lord of the Rings television series has been renewed for season two - even though filming on the first one hasn't even begun.

Part of the deal is a multi-season commitment to airing the Lord of the Ring series, with potential for a spin-off series as well. However, each new season must be given the greenlight by Amazon.The early renewal will be great for Lord of the Rings fans, as there will be a shorter wait between the two seasons.
