Loose Women star on fear that nearly stopped her joining the show

Dame Kelly Holmes has been a regular on ITV's Loose Women since September 2022, and appears to have settled in fantastically to the panel. However, she admits that it wasn't so easy to begin with.

Managing to push through the fear of the unknown, Kelly is now having a blast alongside seasoned panellists such as Coleen Nolan, Christine Lampard, Linda Robson, Nadia Sawalha, and more. "I actually really enjoy it though, because it gives me a platform if I want to speak about things I’m passionate about, and I’m learning a lot about myself too," she explained.

"People don’t see me do my corporate speaking or what I’ve done today. My whole premise is to engage and inspire, to unite and normalise conversations." As she joined the panel for the first time, Kelly teared up during a moving opening montage of Her Majesty's life. Set to the operatic and stirring Time To Say Goodbye, the introduction featured some lovely moments from the Queen's life as well as some sadder ones such as when she sat alone at the funeral of her late husband, Prince Phillip.
