Floral tributes have been placed outside one of the cordons, on Lever Street.
A police van has also been stationed outside the property for around 24 hours, according to local residents.We have recieved reports from locals that a man has died following the incident and that the tributes are for him.The ECHO is in St Helens this morning as police have set up a number of cordons in the Clock Face area.
There are two crime scenes currently in place, one surrounding a house of Lever Street and another on Garton Lane.
