Students with upcoming exams and vulnerable children have been prioritised for a limited place inside their school today, following guidance from the Department for Education . Some schools are staying completely open, while others are fully closed. It's part of a dispute over teacher pay. The NEU says today's action follows a series of real-terms pay cuts over the past decade, while this year's pay rise offer of 5% falls well below inflation.
