Police remain at the scene

control room says while the road has been completely closed as of 1pm on Friday, September 30, one lane has since reopened.

The incident is believed to have happened around the area where Pennyfoot Street meets Lower Parliament Street. Buses are being diverted. The junctions of Lower Parliament Street, A6008 and Fishergate A612 and Lower Parliament with Southwell Road have been closed by emergency services, who are diverting through Southwell Road.has been contacted for comment and additional information, with delays expected.

Nottingham Travelwise says: "Police incident on Lower Parliament St A6008 outbound and Fishergate A612. Road is currently closed with emergency services on scene. Please use an alternative route as traffic is building on Lower Parliament St."
