Modern materials to restore the Glory Hole footpath. Project costs estimated at £60-100k 🪙

Lincolnshire County Council has revealed that the restoration of the historic Glory Hole footpath could cost between £60,000 and £100,000.

The proposed solution is to install a structure similar to the previous timber jetty, but using modern materials that mimic timber."Our outline design is now complete and we’re currently discussing it with our supply chain," a highways spokesperson from the council said. The council has been talking to nearby businesses and the heritage team to ensure the solution is viable and respectful to the area's history.

The closure has significantly impacted local businesses, including Now Hair, which has relocated to be closer to the High Street and more accessible.
