The sooner we ban the licence fee the better, There is no longer a good arguement to keep it. But a very good one to defund the BBC.

Just abolish the TV licence and make the bbc self fund

Might as well do the Falklands ffs

That's an excellent move. Now, the next step is to do the same for the parents of the children who have nothing to eat. 👍

TV licence is a joke nothing is on BBC one at all and where did anyone sign up for this I have not signed anything with them what for repeats and crap

Aaah free licenses for people in tax havens...

What the fuck, this because its a fuckig tax haven? 1 rule for the rich, 1 rule for the poor, socialism for wealthy people, capitalism for the rest.

Stop spending ridiculous amounts of money on ‘talent’ Spend your income & not a penny more, if that means ’talent’ is out of work & has to get a real job then tough Then eliminate 15+ layers of ‘management’ Pay the autocue readers the national living wage TV licence = £20

So all the minted people in tax havens get free tv licences?

I’m surprised it’s not being kept free for those living in Scotland and Wales, and just making English over 75s pay - same as everything else!

So in other words, at last Guernsey, Jersey and Isle of Man viewers are to pay for their licence, and about time too.

'BBC to bring licence fees in the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man in line with the rest of the UK'. There you go , fixed it for you. Somebody ask the person who wrote that headline, why they couched it those terms.

My elderly mother lives alone in a small norfolk village - with covid limiting visitors, she has come to rely on television for company and she now has to pay for that privilege. She doesn’t live in a tax haven like those in the Channel Islands , shame on you BBC

DefundTheBBC the politically biased dinosaur

They’re having a laugh . Is there any elderly relatives of the BBC management Or trustees living offshore ?

DefundTheBBC

Why not. Should imagine they are all skint, living in tax havens like they do!!!😡😡😡

You really could not make it up... what a shame

Why?

Being a 75yr old pensioner and not on pension credit living on a very tight budget hand to mouth and not watching BBC TV channels. Definitely I won't be paying this licence. I simply cannot afford to pay. I do not want to sacrifice on my food bill.

Defund the BBC explains how you can watch ‘on demand’ WITHOUT a TV licence

Has anyone actually read the article? Over 75’s on income support, they’re bringing it in line with the rest of UK. Stop being outraged ffs

You have to read the article the see it is bringing these areas into line with the mainland and the BBC got asked to do this by the governments. Man people love to bash the BBC. Blame the Tory government for this.

The bbc is dead in the water. Piss poor news service and the Tories hate them. Well done to the spectator hacks and pushy cat Tory members who do the reporting.

SCRAP BBC Licence fee for all. End of the story

DefundTheBBC DefundBBC

Who watches the BBC, maybe we should just stop funding it

One episode of Cash in the Attic over on the Channel Islands should uncover enough to fund a fair few TV licenses.

This whole thing stinks. My in laws both in their nineties live in Kendal. Kendal and most of the surrounding area can only get about a very small number of channels (less than twenty if memory serves) yet they and all the over 75s in the area will have to pay the fee

Stop winding people up.

Say what, now?

Read it properly, it applies to over 75’s on income support (the same as in the U.K.)!

Discrimination in play here, DefundBBC ...... get these parasites shut down............ selective licensing is now their mantra!!!!!!!

Definitely going to the needy then. A total disgrace.

Why not for the rest of us? Those are all well to do places, because we pay doesn't mean we can afford it, but at our age we don't want to die in jail.

Defund the BBC.

BBC won't be around long enough.... thant to the pissing out tory lies

Some are better than none.

This is gonna go down well in the mainland. Even more pure hatred for the BBC

Does anyone still watch the BBC anymore let alone pay that stupid licence fee ?

Assuming the Chairman of the BBC has family and bank accounts there?

Discrimination works then..

So we have to move to a millionaires playground if we want to watch the BBC and all the repeats that are on for free....

The technology exists to make the BBC a subscription service, get on with it

Is that so they can don’t have to spend the money they have saved by living on a tax haven

Couldn’t make it up!

So the tax havens of the Channel Isles save money that they probably have plenty of whilst the mainland pensioners suffer still...

What's the difference between channel Islands and mainland

And the problem is?

What a joke the bbc is becoming

Bruh who tf lives there though
