'Let's not break out the bubbly quite yet but Britain is conquering coronavirus'

Positive cases have ticked up a little, but largely because more tests are done.

Even our overall Covid death toll is likely to be cut by thousands because of the absurd flaws in how Public Health England counted them. Yes, it has detailed plans to regulate the flow of legal EU and non-EU migrants once Brexit is complete. Quite right. But its record on tackling those landing illegally on our shores in soaring numbers is dismal.

How do you conquer somthing that’s only in people’s minds

City’s and towns being locked down all over the country but yeah we are winning! Come on 😞

Is it tho, i doubt it

It must be true cos The Sun say so!!!!!

Yes we are. Just like how we have ALWAYS lived, not one person who moans about case numbers has ever cared in the past how many catch flu, deaths and hospital numbers were always important and are the same now, these almost non existent. Your own immunity is better than any jab

Only time to break out the Bubbly is when the sun goes bust which with it falling sales it won’t be long

Must be doing something right as despite rise in cases from more testing, hospitals still remain empty. We are down to one Covid ward where I work. Sadly lost a total of 11 patients from/with Covid since 14th May. Hardly justification for wrecking economy 😡

Oh don’t say that too loudly, there are still the pessimists who will have us believe that we are still in the grips of the first ‘wave’ never mind the follow up! Where these fonts of all knowledge gain their self appointed information from is miraculous (and more)!

Daily cases still in the region of 900 🤔🤔

You don't conquer a virus like the medieval kings of old conquered their enemies.

Bulldog665 Wait I thought we were on edge of a second lockdown🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Complacency strikes again

What an irresponsible headline - trying to boost our failing Govt will I my lead the readers of your rag to believe they can carry on as if all is normal - then a second wave! Thanks for nothing.

It’s so lethal we now automatically count someone as a COVID stat if they die with lin 28 days of a test... so, if your run over on day 27 I’ll assume it’ll be classed as a COVID death. Changing the wording to coronavirus is also perpetuating the scam CoronaHoax ScumMedia

Sky news says we’re on the verge of a lock down ffsake

'all lives matter' a couple of months ago to 'quick, get the Navy to patrol the channel and turn away any dinghys full of kids' This whole article is so irresponsible, ignorant and just plain stupid it's embarrassing.

Yes ... we embracing the virus I will say .. is that why the infection rate is growing and more and more cities are in lockdown

That will make such comforting news for the 65,000 dead and their families!

Hardly!!! Over 800 cases a day... We not got below 500 cases yet 😒😒😒

No it isn't. These things come in cycles.

The Guardian view on poetry in schools: don't let it go | EditorialEditorial: Finding meaning in verse can be a challenge for teenagers. But it is also a joy, and letting them drop it is the wrong move Why can’t the guardian let the children of the nation get at least one good thing out of the governments crap education reforms. No more poetry! if poetry goes then you will be saying that spelling and grammar are not important! time for some reverse psychology. If the Guardian were to call for a ban on poetry then the headbangers on the Right would lobby the Government to bring it back.
