All four original members of Fairground Attraction are reuniting for a 14-date tour across the UK, which features a stop at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

It comes after the release of a new album and its single, What's Wrong With the World?, which is out today. Formed of Eddi Reader, Mark Nevin, Simon Edwards and Roy Dodds, the band's debut Perfect reached number one in countries all over theEddi went on to enjoy a long and successful solo career, making 10 critically acclaimed solo albums, while Mark made seven solo albums and worked with the likes of Morrissey, Kirst MacColl and David Bowie.Simon and Roy have also been in demand, both together as a rhythm section and individually, working with a range of top artists.

Details of the new album are under wraps for now, but Mark promises that fans who have been waiting over three decades won’t be disappointed. “I think we had all given up hope that it would ever happen a long time ago. It is almost spooky, as though we are ghosts, who have come back to life, but something happens between us when we play together; time evaporates and it could all have been yesterday.”Readers’ comments: You are personally liable for the content of any comments you upload to this website, so please act responsibly.
