Leeds United's crucial Championship clash with Blackburn Rovers next month will be broadcast live on Sky Sports. The fixture, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 13, was originally due to kick-off at 3pm but will now get under way at 12:30pm.
Confirming the news on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, United wrote: "In news that will shock #LUFC fans, we have been selected for TV again! Our game against Blackburn at Elland Road on Saturday 13th April, will now kick off at 12:30pm." It is another early kick-off and it is unlikely United chief Daniel Farke will be overly pleased with the latest development. Farke expressed his frustration over the scheduling of his side's trip to Huddersfield Town earlier this month, a fixture which was also televised live on Sky. It came a little over 48 hours after their FA Cup fifth round tie with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge."This is the crunch time period of the season.
"But when it comes down to business, it doesn’t matter. This is where I am struggling to understand this." Second-placed United triumphed 2-0 in the reverse fixture at Ewood Park back in December after goals either side of half-time from Dan James and Crysencio Summerville. Rovers are languishing in 18th position after a poor run of results since the turn of the year. With nine matches remaining, the Lancashire club are three points above the drop zone.
