Leeds United have been quick to pay their respects to former Leeds Rhinos star Rob Burrow who has passed away at the age of 41. Former Rhinos scrum-half Burrow had been bravely battling against MND for the last four and a half years but it was sadly announced on Sunday evening that he had passed away. A statement quickly released by Leeds United read: “Everyone at Leeds United Football Club is devastated to learn of the passing of Rob Burrow CBE.
Our thoughts are with Rob’s family, friends, all at Leeds Rhinos and the MND community at this incredibly sad time. RIP Legend.” Whites captain Liam Cooper quickly took to social media to share a picture of himself with Burrow and the Rhinos legend’s family. Cooper said his prayers were with Burrow’s wife Lindsey, his family and close friend Kevin Sinfield. Cooper wrote: “My prayers are with Lindsey, Rob’s beautiful kids as well as the rest of his family and friends - especially Kev.
