Heading into the international break on the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday was not the way Daniel Farke, the club, or the supporters for that matter, wanted to approach a two-week break between games. With a number of players away on international duty, Farke is working with those remaining at Thorp Arch to ensure the squad are ready for the Championship return.
The Whites currently sit 15th in the Championship standings with just one win from their opening five games. It may not be the return many had hoped for, but with 41 games of the campaign still to come, Farke and his squad know there is a long way to go. Among those new faces at the club is former Rangers star Glen Kamara, who is currently away on international duty with Finland as he prepares for games against Kazakhastan and Denmark.
Farke is understood to be happy with the squad he has at his disposal after a summer of upheaval in the squad, with Kamara sharing a belief understood to be felt across the playing group that the club can make a real push for an immediate return.
