A Leeds café was given a one star hygiene rating after multiple issues were found and were told to install hand washing facilities.
Inspectors visited the Cypress Point café on October 15, 2022, and gave them a list of improvements they had to make.The café owners were told to replace wooden chopping boards, which would "split and cause bacteria to harbour in cracks" and needed to ensure they had hand wash facilities in food preparation area and food serving area.
Walls needed to be made smooth and "washable" and needed cleaning. There was damage to the ceiling tiles.
