Leeds and Jesse Marsch need to start turning their intangible successes into something real

Leeds supporters were calling for Jesse Marsch’s head after their loss to Aston Villa but Marsch described it as “the most complete performance” of his tenure.on Friday night, the gap in perception between the Leeds manager and the Leeds fans could not have been much wider. And while they did create chances, especially throughout the second half, the fact that they weren’t taken does not reflect as well on Marsch as the manager seems to think it might. Creating opportunities to score isn’t worth much if those opportunities aren’t turned into very real and tangible goals.

Leeds are continuing to misfire. The margins are thin. Everybody knows that. But the defence remains rather flakey and the attack just a little blunt, and when the margins It’s not all bad news for Leeds, either. Tyler Adams has been an excellent signing, and looks like very good business at £20m.
