We need to stop making such a big thing of learning in lockdown - we keep hearing about effects on children’s mental health. Perhaps the biggest cause is continually telling them how behind they are, what a disaster it is for them and that they’ll likely never catch up.

that was the purpose, was not it? The uneducated crowd is a dream for those who run the world.

Well children are learning in spite of the pandemic. . It just maybe not what you want. A lot of learning today is brain washing. The greatest learning is to create curiosity?

Quality over quantity, also whose to say these kids didn't spend less time studying because they didn't have to correct outdated textbooks, wait for teachers to deal with other students or just had fewer distractions.

has an equitable study been conducted for the anxiety levels in children? Children who do not feel safe cannot focus to learn : (

Quantity says nothing about the quality of learning. Just because a student spends 8 hours a day in school doesn’t mean that he/she is learning something 8 hours a day. That’s not how learning works.
