Trucks have crossed the Rafah border into Gaza carrying much-needed supplies of humanitarian aid, live footage shows.
Just 20 trucks are set to be allowed into Gaza via its southern crossing from Egypt in the first instance, but there are hopes that more will follow. At least one of the trucks carries the banner of the Egyptian Red Crescent, which is leading the operation alongside the Egyptian authorities, supported by UN agencies. It is unclear how long the crossing will be open, or exactly which aid has made it in.
