For Milan Design Week, Lasvit’s ‘Sanctums’ exhibition, curated by Lasvit art director Maxim Velčovský, showcases brand-new ideas, including ‘A:Live’, a kinetic, modular glass art installation by Stefan Mihailović, and a collection of installations created by emerging talents as well as world-renowned designers such as Yabu Pushelberg and David Rockwell. ‘A:Live’ was first launched last year as a virtual design concept, but can now be appreciated in real life, presented as part of an immersive and interactive theatre experience complete with actors and live performers.
‘We want our installations, artworks, collections and places to make spaces for our clients that not only evoke beautiful feelings, but that can caress the soul,’ says Lasvit owner and president Leon Jakimič. ‘With “Sanctums”, we want to show how light makes space and how space makes feeling.
