Nothing to do with the program being shit...?

Media editor Jim Waterson you're a bit of a dope. from your own article - the Guardian’s review saying that the evening 'felt like a party to which no one had turned up” due to the lack of a boisterous audience. So there you are empty hall, no fun, fewer viewers QED

I gave it a miss this time. The far right claiming this has soured the whole event.

After, yes. As a result of (as you imply)? At best unproven. Seemed less well promoted this year, but more importantly without the audience less atmosphere and less of an 'must see'. No regional events, much more like a classical concert, much less like a fun event.

If only they'd stood up against the right's manufactured culture war and got rid of Rule Britania and LOHG like 1% of the population wanted. Ratings would have been through the roof.

Dead Cat live at the Albert Hall!

It'll be even worse after they crucified Jerusalem.

Serves them right!

Last Night of the Proms review – party falls flat as BBC miss chance to speak upDespite desperate cheeriness from assorted guests and committed performances from all musicians, this event is about more than the music, and 2020’s concert failed to reflect current times Were you watching the same programme as me? It's a tragedy that the BBC were forced to play that 'song' with a gun to their head Is there any truth in the rumours the BBC DG has said next year he wants the curtain raiser to be Vindaloo by Fat Les ? Sung by the BNP national choir , No blacks allowed ?
