Lashana Lynch: ‘Casting a female James Bond would not be doing right by our sex’

In Nomi, there is a guarded vulnerability that belies an icy veneer. Bond, JANE Bond...... nah just doesn’t seem right!

Bond has got to be male, British (even if the actor is not) and be born into privilege. He he cannot be working class nor a woman, but race doesn't matter as long as his race does not become a personality trait.

No problem with a Female 007, why would I have a problem? It’s a fictional account of MI6 operatives, I’m sure in reality they may have code names and they are both male AND female. But please not this actress, I found her performance poor, she was very wooden with no presence.

When do we give women a lead in their own franchise 🤔 tomb raider, resident evil, lucy, charlies angels, alien , captain marvel, bridget jones, wonder woman. Perhaps if more women write some films with female leads rather than expecting others to do so.
