A young mum-of-four has died just weeks after being diagnosed with cancer which has left her family completely devastated.
Doctors discovered that something was wrong and Fiona underwent emergency surgery to remove parts of her bowels and ovary. Just days later, she was told the cancer was in its advanced stages and was given six months to a year to live. Her devastated younger sister, Ashley Murphy, 32, told Glasgow Live: "She only went to hospital because she couldn’t stop being sick and before she knew it, she was being rushed in for an operation to get her bowel removed and that’s when she found out that she had cancer.
Fiona is said to have taken the illness "on the chin" and prepared for the worst - through making memory boxes and recording video tapes for her children. "We always had family get-togethers at my mum’s. We’d go there for drinks and dinner - family meant everything to her.
