Plan 24-30 sets out a route map to keep the promise, detailing who needs to do what and by when.

A new plan to ensure the promise made to care experienced young people, that they will grow up loved, safe and respected, has gone live.Organisations in Lanarkshire who are involved in the ‘care system’ are now being encouraged to review the plan to understand their role in creating change.

Since November 2023, the time, energy and insights of thousands of people from hundreds of organisations have gone into its development, making clear commitment to #KeepThePromise remains strong. The discussions found a new approach was needed, that involves collaborative planning to achieve a clear shared vision for Scotland, whilst enabling those delivering to respond to change as it happens and to overcome the barriers that get in the way of the promise being kept.

“Organisations shared they need a new way of working that includes clarity on WHO is responsible in driving forward WHAT changes by WHEN and supports greater understanding of HOW.
