Labour Party politicians have voiced their anger at US PresidentLeader Jeremy Corbyn declared that he will not attend a state banquet held for the president, instead claiming the Prime Minister had bowed down to US administration.He said: ‘Theresa May should not be rolling out the red carpet for a state visit to honour a president who rips up vital international treaties, backs climate change denial and uses racist and misogynist rhetoric.
However, Corbyn added that he would be prepared to meet Trump during his stay to discuss ‘all matters of interest’.Shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry has also noted her disapproval of the visit, branding Trump ‘nothing but a disgrace to his office’ after he withdrew support for the international Arms Trade Treaty.
Ms Thornberry took to Twitter shortly after writing: ‘Donald Trump’s statement on the Arms Trade Treaty is the final confirmation that he is not the Leader of the Free World, he never has been, and he does not deserve the honour of a State Visit to Britain.Labour MP David Lammy argued on radio station LBC that Trump’s visit was unnecessary and accused May of ‘lording him for this shameful behaviour on the international stage’.
May previously came under fire for inviting the US leader to make a state visit just days into his presidency in 2017.

And they are absolutely right to call out May on this! Trump’s behaviour is well documented and yet she’s rolling out the red carpet for him! The amount that was spent to “entertain” him on his last visit is sickening!
