Starmer’s brand is common decency, a much under rated quality but one that provides a stark contrast with Boris Johnson.
Big ideas are popular with the public however believability in their delivery is more important. If the public do not believe ideas can be delivered, they'll vote against it. People are jaded. People have struggled due austerity. They are less trusting in multiple big ideas.
They have to win voters back in Scotland. Blair won 56 seats there in 2001 and 46 in 2005. How many have they got now? I think just one. The only big idea they actually have a shot with is an electoral pact with the LibDems - stay out off each others way for 60 seats each
