The PM announcing her departure if her Brexit deal passes might mean Labour votes do not materialise to the degree required.

While MPs in the House of Commons chamber debated their alternative Brexit proposals, the prime minister was presenting an entirely different one to her Conservative colleagues.

Others said it was a sombre moment of honesty, with at least 10 previous rebels said to have been moved to switch position and back the Brexit withdrawal agreement. The prime minister reveals her plan to stand down at a meeting of the Tories' 1922 committee Their concerns are with the deal itself - be it the backstop, the financial settlement attached to it, or the"blind" nature of the future economic relationship it would commit the country to.

Mrs May is playing a very long game. Problem is she is the only person throwing the dice. Pity about the 60 odd million people whose lives will be adversely affected but that is politics as we've just come to know it.

Labour and parliments stupidity will ensure Mays deal gets through thanks to the joys of indicative voting her deal will be the most popular and will get through that way when everyone realises it's the only way forward.

Bercow says no deal!

MP's like jess Phillips who was on sky news earlier, she is a perfect example of the dregs of society and why labour are a joke

They are hoping she says, it’s the only bonus they have for having a chance of being elected.

Give us our right our vote a general election now , we the people can only get rid of the PM not the tory party , give us democracy give us our general election now...!

Oh the irony

Jacob will be the best Prime Minister in living memory! Come on JRM, a normal man! A true Brit!

I want her to stay now I want her to go into the next general election and be totally humiliated. cos she's worth it

Truth is, the PM will either jump (if her bill passes) or be pushed (if it fails one more). Given her handling of the WA, and her decision to hold a general election when she did, you've gotta think she's getting very bad judgement, or has very bad advice... or (likely) both. 😣

Hang on I thought it was all about what is best for the country....Now its about Labour fearing a new leader in a GE.....🙄

WTF Tory soap opera passed off by journalists as 'governance' has brought the Tories to this conclusion: WithdrawalAgreement is such a bad deal that May must leave and May leaving is a reason to support this bad deal? WAKE UP

The whole thing is a shambles i don't know what the fuck to believe , none of these leaders keep their promises, its like they purposely want to fuck the country up

Her deal is crap

😂😂😂😂😂

Theresa May's speech has infuriated the Labour MPs she needs to back her dealWhen Theresa May has a difficult day in the House of Commons, her preferred solution is to invite the television cameras round to Downing Street and then to say nothing at all – or at least, nothing that she hasn’t said several thousand times before. stephenkb May could easily get the whole house behind her all she has to do is say, I Resign! She would then have the whole of Westminster Asylum and the countries immediate support stephenkb 🍐🍐🍐🍐🍐😂😂😂😂😂 stephenkb theresa_may shot down the very MPs who so recently showed loyalty to her with their vote of confidence - she has returned the favour with a display of no loyalty or confidence in them - asking public to badger them. Her terms are so bad, hers is the only 'no deal' on the table.
