Tories argue document published in Mail on Sunday proves Labour leader is guilty of ‘rank double standards’

Labour has rejected claims that a leaked planning memo about Keir Starmer’s visit to Durham last year undermined his assertion he did not break lockdown rules.document, published by the Mail on Sunday, shows that an 80-minute dinner with the Labour MP Mary Foy, featuring a takeaway curry, was planned as part of his schedule.

Whist he should definitely resign if fined, and I'm no fan of his, this is a very disturbing move by the police at the instruction of Tory ministers and their right wing media overlords. Sounds paranoid, but little doubt the pressure from them prompted this investigation.

This attack on Keir Starmer looks like a well organized smear campaign. The timing,trickle of news headlines . Why wasn’t the photo published the day after it was taken. It certainly would have if the law was broken.

Time to examine the outside supposed work event by Boris Johnson. As this could now require a new assessment, Labour must ask for this to be reopened.

Prejudice. Why not wait for the Police investigation to complete? Boris was afforded that privilege. Be fair.

With good reason.
