Labour finally backing the People’s Vote is a victory, but the battle is far from over

Let’s start with Labour’s– any Brexit deal must deliver the ‘exact same benefits’ as the single market and the customs union – which means remaining within these.

Keeping the benefits of the single market and customs union would mean following EU regulations to make things easier for UK businesses, and continuing to make trade deals via the EU to increase leverage during negotiations.Theresa May’s deal cannot include remaining in these two systems – her party would not vote for a deal like that.

The members of Momentum, Young Labour for a People’s Vote and members and supporters of the party have used their voices to call on the leadership to take their views into account and the leadership appears to have finally listened. From the perspective of Jeremy Corbyn, who wants to change the country, Labour needs to win power.

For the sake of the party’s electoral future, MPs had to listen to their young supporters or risk losing them –This is the start of the process, not the end.

A victory for over turning a democratic vote? You can list reasons to thwart the vote until your blue in the face but, every one should be concerned when a goverment desides they know best. You then have despotism and that hasn't worked out so well for freedom in any country.

How is betraying the British people and your own Labour voters a victory? It is a betrayal. And Labour have just lost 4 million voters in the north.

Just for votes

Corbyn BULLY tactics: Labour peer HITS OUT at Labour leaders 'rebel' pastLABOUR peer Baron Michael Levy claimed he is not prepared to leave his Party in favour of supporting the new parliamentary independent group as he is adamant to change Jeremy Corbyn's 'rebellious and bullying' leadership from within. So Corbyn's a declared a bully. Not such a broad church then! Strange, Hammond thinks the Tories are also a broad church. Consistent crap from both main parties. Amazing Corbyn has the audacity to tell leavers to resign as MPs'. They are just taking a leaf out of his book.

Editorial: John McDonnell’s promising comments show there is hope left for a Final Say referendumThe shadow chancellor told the Evening Standard that Labour is now ‘moving towards’ a public vote We have worked tirelessly for A Peoples Vote for 2. 5 years and yet again Labour is throwing seeds of hope of their support at us again. It's too little far too late as all Jeremy wants is Brexit. Labour have not been supportive and have only supported the Government throughout. He only utters the words Jeremy can’t bring himself to speak. It means nothing, it’s just another little hook to try to appease labour/remain voters in their quest to overturn the referendum result. It won’t happen & they both know it.

Why Liverpool lost one Labour MP and nearly embraced an old troublemakerLast week, Luciana Berger quit Corbyn’s party – and Derek Hatton was briefly readmitted. What can the city’s Wavertree area tell us? Seems trouble makers are the only ones to keep the peace... Bullshit. She served as director of Labour Friends of Israel. That's enough for me. No civilised group of people should seek to befriend, and benefit from, a racist criminal regime that ignores international and humanitarian concerns.
