About time! UK massively incentivizes people not to work.

Great thinking. Pick on those that take a low paid job and need the top-up to live (often single parents) and leave alone those that have no dependants and play the system

Everting coming this week to cause 'pain' but not raise taxes or boost the economy too much has to be around increasing labour supply. Without that any give aways have to be offset by rate rises given the tight labour market ... let's see

How many of the newly economically inactive are people suffering with long covid?

Most benefit claimants do work. How about making the work more appealing so people don't need to rely on the state. Thats the move most are calling for, hence the strikes. 2.3 million people on UC also work.
