Kobbie Mainoo comments may mean Casemiro WON'T be axed by United this summer

Very few players at Manchester United are safe from the chop this summer after a lacklustre campaign.

Not only was he part of the squad, but Mainoo also managed to earn his first start for the England senior team on Tuesday night during the 2-2 draw with Belgium. The teenager was integral in the move that saw the Three Lions earn a penalty and, subject to injury, is a favourite to make it on the plane to Euro 2024 this summer.

This was not necessarily because he does not rate him as a player, but more due to the amount of money the club paid for him considering his lack of resale value. However, Erik ten Hag's recent comments about Case could prompt a change of heart. The 32-year-old still has a lot to offer the football club both on and off the pitch to Mainoo which means a substantial bid would need to be submitted for the Reds to part company this summer, it would seem.
