Kobbie Mainoo and Archie Gray earn first England Under-21 call-ups

midfielder has been named in the Under-21 squad for their upcoming qualifiers. The 18-year-old, who has established himself as a prominent member of United’s first team this season, was no included in England’s senior squad by Gareth Southgate on Thursday despite some calls for him to be picked. Mainoo’s form has instead been rewarded with his first inclusion in Lee Carsley’s Under-21 side. The United academy product has previously only represented his country up to under-19 level.
