My wife, who is German, and I travel to Germany often. Last year I could not find a restaurant that sold Zigeuner Schnitzel, one of my favourite dishes. I then discovered the ban on the word for Zigeuner meaning gypsy. Now one has to ask for Paprika Schnitzel.
