Video recorded in Islington, London, shows two officers holding a handcuffed suspect, who is black, on the pavement. In the footage, shared with the BBC, one of the officers appears to be using his knee to control the suspect and has his hand on his head.He is eventually released from the ground and continues to talk to officers after they sit him up.An eye witness told the BBC:"I was worried he was going to get executed. That's just how George Floyd got killed.

There’s a huge difference between kneeling on someone’s neck (like what happened in the US) and guarding with the knee (which is often used in the U.K.) Guarding with the knee should use no downward pressure and is used to prevent someone bringing their head up to spit etc.

Perfectly reasonable to prevent attack. The issue is holding it after you have the suspect cuffed and he no longer poses a threat. Force is deemed reasonable in context and not used to excess in creating permanent injury or a threat to life.
