King Charles is said to have opted for a different coronation outfit than previous monarchs as the traditional attire is “too dated”.
Downing Street said the Prime Minister described the coronation as a "unique moment for the country", as Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Oliver Dowden told ministers last month it would be a "moment of constitutional significance which will allow us to showcase the very best of the United Kingdom."
The royal couple visited Bolton to celebrate 150 years of the borough's town hall, as well as travelling to Trafford Park to tour the Kellogg's factory.
