Parents have been urged to stop using the popular Thule RideAlong bike seat

If you’ve got a kid’s seat fitted to your bike, you’re being urged to check the make and model number as soon as you can. Thule has recalled its RideAlong child bike seat amid concerns about chemicals in the child safety straps.

However, the RideAlong seats affected are feared to have too much of the chemical. And this means it is ‘posing a chemical hazard’, says Thule. How can I find out which bike seat I have? Thule has asked people to stop using the seat immediately, until you’ve checked if yours is affected. What should I do? If you have a seat with one of the product codes, you should head to Thule and request a free replacement harness. You’ll also be sent instructions on how to fit it to your seat.
