Keith Flint has passed away just five months after his last album with The Prodigy was released – featuring one of their final singles, We Live Forever.The track debuted on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show in October, and is the last Prodigy song to feature Flint’s vocals; Timebomb Zone was a later release.
Flint is best known for providing the vocals on The Prodigy’s most famous song, 1996’s Firestarter, and starred alone in the iconic video.In the black and white video, he appeared with a wild punk haircut and sang and danced in an abandoned London Underground tunnel at Aldwych.The video, along with the song’s lyrics, created major controversy at the time, but gave the band their first UK number one.
Flint was recruited to The Prodigy by Liam Howlett to dance on stage with Leeroy Thornhill while Howlett played their tracks. He was initially the band’s dancer, but after Firestarter, he went on to provide lead vocals on Breathe.
