It's not often Roy Keane hands out compliments to Jordan Pickford, but a save against Switzerland saw him receive a rare bit of praise EFC

The goalkeeper has had a tough time at club level withthis season, conceding 44 goals in just 25 games as the Toffees battle to retain their Premier League status.

Pickford has made 42 appearances, keeping 20 clean sheets, and has never made an error leading to a goal. After an error against United in 2020, Keane said on Sky Sports: “Don’t give me that, when I hear that, ‘the ball is moving’, of course it’s going to move when someone kicks it!“I don’t need to see those stats, he’s not a good goalkeeper.“We’re talking about Everton making progress as a football club.”The former Republic of Ireland international even called for Pickford to be dropped in favour of Nick Pope for Euro 2020 due to his club form during the 2020/21 campaign.
