Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last month, not only were members of the royal family left navigating their own personal loss, but they were left dealing with a whole new series of changes.
Speaking of his eldest son, he revealed that they’d become the Prince and Princess of Wales, saying that: “Today, I am proud to create him Prince of Wales, Tywysog Cymru, the country whose title I have been so greatly privileged to bear during so much of my life and duty. Prior to Kate becoming the Princess of Wales, the title was last used by William’s mother Princess Diana following her marriage to Charles back in 1981. However, following her tragic death in 1997, the title fell out of use.
Speaking of the move, a source said that Kate “appreciates the history associated with this role but will understandably want to look to the future as she creates her own path.” While Kate may have only had the new title for a matter of weeks, it’s clear that the mum-of-three has wasted no time in getting stuck into her growing responsibilities.
