Kate Middleton , the Princess of Wales, has recently diverged from the late Queen's golden food rule, a principle the monarch adhered to for an important reason. Kate, who is courageously facing cancer and undergoing "preventative chemotherapy", has opted for a significant dietary change that contrasts with the late Queen's advice.
Her Majesty passed away at Balmoral at the age of 96 in September 2022, which was 18 months before Kate disclosed her struggle with cancer. During a conversation with the young Rafael Chana, aged four, Kate shared that she too was fond of olives as a child after the boy expressed his liking for them.
The Queen had a preference to avoid having her favourite foods become mundane by being served at every Royal event. She desired variety in her meals, believing that if her favourite dishes were known, they would be presented to her incessantly, reports Birmingham Live. In a chat with Mary Berry, previously seen on BBC's The Great British Bake Off, Kate shared: "We grow our own vegetables, we've got carrots, beans, beetroot's a massive favourite, Louis absolutely loves beetroot."Answering a query from Mary about whether she enjoys cooking with the kids, Kate affirmed that she "really enjoys it".
