WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange could face sexual assault allegations in Sweden if he is extradited.
Australian-born Assange, 47, was arrested on Thursday after spending seven years seeking asylum in Ecuador’s London embassy to evade trial over the allegations.Ecuadorian officials grew tired of his antics during his time in the embassy, whichAdvertisement Assange was arrested earlier in the week on behalf of US authorities, who have charged him over a computer-hacking conspiracy in which he exposed sensitive information regarding Iraq and Afghanistan.
The letter addressed to Javid reads: ‘We are writing to request that you do everything you can to champion action that will ensure Julian Assange can be extradited to Sweden in the event Sweden make an extradition request.
