US judge forced to apologise for telling ‘rape victim’ she should have closed her legs4:22
A disciplinary hearing at the New Jersey Supreme Court heard Superior Court Judge John Russo was "remorseful" after interrogating the woman about whether she had done anything to "stop" the rape.
An ethics committee has now recommended that Russo be suspended for three months for the "infantile and grossly inappropriate" comments.
He needs locking off the bench
