My favourite album, started listening to it as a 9 yr old when my brother bought it. Have never stopped since. It has been through everything with me in every phase of my life. Still perfect after all these years.

The whole album is superb. A case of you tears me apart.

Baddiel Always in my top 5 albums. Hard to pick a favourite. Will read this properly later but good to see contributions from such a range of people I admire. Baddiel did you ever make a Joni documentary? I remember you mentioning it on a STFTB podcast that you might.

I bought two albums when I turned 17 which changed my life. This was one of them, and The Band's 'Last Waltz' (in/on which Mitchell also appeared) was the other.

Which dickheads choose photos of stars smoking? And she has been so ill directly resultant from her horrible, smelly addiction. Such a shame.

Great article. Life is laid bare in this beautiful album. One of the soundtracks to my student days and totally beloved by one of my housemates who became a friend for life. Always think of her when I play it.
