The father of murdered child James Bulger has warned that one of his son’s killers could soon be released from prison with a new identity.
Ralph Bulger has said the ‘predatory killer’ formerly known as Jon Venables will be eligible for parole within weeks. Two-year-old James Bulger was tortured and killed by Venables and Robert Thompson, who were both aged 10, after they snatched him from a shopping centre in Bootle, Merseyside, in February 1993.
Mr Bulger said: ‘Venables is up for parole any time now, and if it is granted he will be released into the community under a fake name and secret new identity. He is a dangerous, predatory child abuser and killer, and I am terrified he will strike again and harm another child like my James.’To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser thatVenables, 36, has been returned to prison in 2010 and 2017 for possessing indecent images of children.
This is what our taxes pay for,criminals to change their names and be given free money to re offend again.I personally think he shouldn't be out and should of been killed long ago.A life for a life especially after what him and his mate did.Disgusting how murderers are protected
And then he will reoffend again, go back into jail, get a new identity and thus the status quo goes on. It's obscene how many times this has happened. How many more times will this happen? He's shown he cannot be trusted or live in civil society.
