It’s not rocket science! Merkel will say there are 3 solutions: 1. The backstop 2. Stay in CU & SM 3. Stay in EU Otherwise the UK could choose to crash out and that would break the GFA. Hence US wouldn’t do a trade deal. A border would be needed for WTO trade. Very bad!🙁
