the alternative to backstop has always been there, sea border on the UK mainland, the UK Govt wanted a backstop on the Island of Ireland to keep their majority power, the only thing that matters to Tories....this time failure is coming whether no deal leave or abide by rules

I thought he wouldn’t talk to any of the EU leaders until they dropped the backstop. Or was that just more spin?

Boris Johnson says EU being 'a bit negative' but insists 'we'll get there' - videoBoris Johnson on Tuesday accused the European Union of being 'a bit negative' about the Brexit negotiations, adding it was going 'to take a little patience' to break the deadlock Boris Johnson is an idiot and a grifter. You know, we Americans can get snowed by Brits because of the accent, but what's your excuse- why is this man the PM, and what is it about Conservatism everywhere that rewards venality? Oh please. If he wants them to stop being 'negative' he should make a constructive proposal. Transparent preparation for a blame game in a few weeks. Will anyone be gullible enough to fall for it? If by “a bit negative”, you mean NFW. 😀
