Johnny Depp took the stand today in his $100m defamation trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard. The Pirates of the Caribbean star told of his abusive upbringing at the hands of his mother as he was questioned by his lawyers. Depp told of 'verbal abuse, name calling, bullying' by his mother Betty Sue, who he described as 'very unpredictable'.
The former spouses are squaring off over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post calling herself a domestic violence survivor. Depp claims he was booted from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise because of the 'clear implication' he was the abuser in Heard's op-ed.
His performance as Jack Sparrow was better than this. Come on ….This act sucks. I’m glad I don’t have to pay money to see it.
