Being alone with my thoughts in a dark confined space for an hour isn't exactly my definition of a good time.
Prior to entering the water, I showered to get rid of any oils on my body and covered any open cuts and spots with a thin layer of Vaseline to stop them from stinging. I also popped in a pair of earbuds to prevent the water from crystalising in and around my ears. At point one, I was in a foetus state - according to owner, John McCool - and this is where you're consciously awake but your body is in a sleep-like form. It is in this state, that my thoughts came to a halt and stopped racing - for the first time in a long time.
