Figures show US economy added 943,000 jobs in July – follow the day’s politics news

There were “notable job gains in leisure and hospitality, in local government education, and in professional and business services” last month, says the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Employment in leisure and hospitality surged by 380,000, with two-thirds of those gains at ‘food services and drinking places’ as restaurants and bars took on more staff.
