He came into office at a terrible time but he didn't handle the situation well either. He's not built for the Oval Office, maybe a C suite at a Texas Oil co would've worked out better for him
Got me a 2.4 exchange rate.
Hes just been reborn because Biden us so Bad. DOE has been the worst thing to happen to the future of America since PCBs. Common Core. Banning pizza in lunches. Worst thing for freedom is taking parental choice away from parents.
No… I remember his presidency like it was yesterday. I don’t need a historian to redefine it.
Totally agree with this.
Carter is a good man who make good decision for the interest of the country, a rare man in the American mud hole of political actor and cronies.
Imagine a world where the oil embargo had resulted in a pivot from oil instead of doubling down
And you want to rewrite history and make it kinder, friendlyer.
Agreed… great president and great human being
Agreed, he never gets the credit he deserves for the Camp David agreement.
BS revision. Why I will never subscribe to your rag.
At this time in his life, I thinks it’s more important to appreciate the great things he’s done as a person instead of an Office he held
Jimmy Carter was a horrible president that cratered the economy and caused inflation to skyrocket - similar to what Biden did to cause inflation. Carter wanted to live in harmony with the Soviet Union. His biggest accomplishment was building houses with Habitat for Humanity.
What a horrific, ill conceived article. Obviously you weren’t alive then ….. he was a horrible President “put a sweater on if you’re cold”, his humanitarian work post election was OK but never forget he declared Venezuelan elections for Chavez fair and IS elections corrupt.
Thank you for this, EdwardGLuce. Carter (whose credentials as a Navy nuclear physicist are forgotten for a cartoonish image of a clueless peacenik) remains perhaps the most underrated of modern American Presidents.
Absolutely true. More right wing propaganda.
Jimmy Carter was a great man but was terrible at public relations and made the mistake of bringing his coterie of supporters from Georgia to DC. His first head of OMB, Bert Lance, found himself ensnared in scandal and his brother Billy signed on as a lobbyist for Libya.
Jimmy Carter was wrong throughout history.
How did we go from that remarkable man to Trump?

The problem with the argument for reparations\n\t\t\tLet our global subject matter experts broaden your perspective with timely insights and opinions you\n\t\t\tcan’t find anywhere else.\n\t\t No one alive today owned slaves or was a slave in the West. It would be impossible to calculate who owed what to whom. Those who want reparations would indiscriminately steal from others, either to buy votes or enrich themselves. It's an abomination to morality. In reparations-for-slavery debate there seems no statue of limitations so surely Italy will be bankrupt as they will face a class action by half of Europe for Romans’ slavery? Egypt may face similar from Israel although Moses’ exodus maybe is mitigation? Looks a legal minefield💥
